First and foremost, the focus is on fun!

This is an opportunity to get more shifts, more reps and more growth! Teams will play a 4 on 4 full ice format. In order to keep games competitive, if a team is ever down by 5 goals, they are able to put another player on the ice until they are back within 2 goals.

Forge keeps the puck moving, there will be no face offs other than the opening face off.

If a goalie covers the puck, the offensive team must retreat behind the blue line until the defensive team begins forward progress.

Offsides will result in a turnover and the offending team must retreat outside of the blue line until the defensive team makes forward progress.

Penalties will result in a penalty shot taken by the player affected by the penalty. They will begin at the centre dot and all other players will begin on the far blue line. On the whistle, all players may start skating. The puck is now live.

There is no icing.

Games will be 30 minutes run time (including any time necessary to attend to a player on the ice if applicable). We do not stop time during a game.

Finally, there will be zero tolerance for any unsportsmanlike behaviour or attempt to injure. Any of these actions may result in removal from the game or tournament. Remember, this is an opportunity for fun and to skate with friends. Forge - More Shifts, More Reps, More Growth!
